I’m usually a fan of the heavier type sauces; your red sauces, cream sauces, and cheesey type sauces. Well, the husband usually favors a lighter sauce so I try to make them every so often ;-)
You caught me. You found me out. I confess: I love hummus. Buy why shouldn’t I???? Hummus is infinitely customizable and full of protein… and OH SO good. However you make it, hummus is super quick and easy.
I’ve never had white sweet potatoes before and don’t cook with the more common orange variety much as the husband is not a big fan. But, as it’s soup season, and I was in the mood to try something new, the husband acquiesced and we made the purchase.
This past weekend we picked up over 3 pounds of bright, red, fragrant beauties which I decided to turn into pasta sauce. The best pasta sauce takes a lot of time, but fairly few ingredients.
The husband and I ate all of this the same day I made it. Next time I will clearly need to make double this amount of pesto so that I have some to use a second day.
