Oh Fall, how I love you. Your falling leaves. Your crisp air. Your festivals and craft fairs. And especially your butternut squash.
Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Just because you’ve decided to adopt a plant-based lifestyle does not mean that you have to sit out one of the greatest holidays of the year—I’ve pulled together a list of some of the best vegan snacks and candies around!
I must confess: these pancake bites were indeed my idea but the husband did the actual prep work for them. I just took pictures and stuffed my face :-)
Burger night is usually a once a week or so occurrence in our house. Before I found Field Roast I’d tried several different incarnations of veggie burgers and all manner of brands.
Well, well, well. I think I may have finally found a reasonable replacement for Dorito chips. Oh, happy day these Beanfields chips are really good!
My grandmother and I used to make banana nut bread together on the weekends. We made loafs of bread that we’d cut into thick slices while still warm from the oven and slather with creamy butter and a small sprinkling of salt.
The husband and I ate all of this the same day I made it. Next time I will clearly need to make double this amount of pesto so that I have some to use a second day.
These fantastic little fluffy delights are sooooo good when still warm from the oven and spread with butter and small bit of salt or spread with butter and apricot jam.
I was on vacation recently and, given that the house I was in had a shared kitchen, it wasn't always easy to cook a meal. So, I gave up on the idea of eating almost anything that needed stove prep, or required a lot of counter space or time, and stuck to eating easily made meals and snacks.
Summer is nearly over. It's time to prepare for fall. That means buying up all the fruit you can get your hands on for smoothies and freezable syrups :-)
I wasn't ever really a hot sauce type of person. But when I had spicy cauliflower out at an Indian restaurant one night I thought "WOW", this I have to make for myself :-)
I decided that peanut butter cupcakes with a chocolate-ish icing would be a fantastic dessert. I'm not a big sweets person so these cupcakes are not very sweet and a bit more savory if that makes sense.
I'm not a big sweets person so this is just the right amount of sweetness in a dessert for me. And, as far as desserts go it's not too terribly unhealthy either :-)
This is a really simple dough. But, it does need to rise for about 8 hours after you mix the ingredients so you'll want to make the dough in the morning or just before bed.
When you have a hankering for pizza—and have taken the time to make the dough yourself—you don't want to put canned, store-bought sauce on your masterpiece. Oh no.
